Established by Cabinet Decision No. 236 on 21 Rajab 1433 AH, the General Authority for Audiovisual Media operates as an independent legal entity with financial and administrative independence. In Shawwal 1433 AH, the authority's regulations were approved, including the establishment of a board of directors chaired by the Minister of Media.
